Babies love smiley faces. Here is a happy little sun that crackles when squeezed.

My children loved this when they were babies and they still do as toddlers.

It is perfect as part of a personal baby shower gift.

Stitches: Only basic stitches are used.

Size: It will be 7-8 cm (2.5-3 in) wide using very fine cotton. Choose heavier yarn and hook for a bigger sun. (If you use worsted wt. cotton and a 5mm hook (US: H-8, UK: 6), the sun will be around 16cm (6 in) wide.)
