This is the pattern for a combining the train series. This is part of a train series that I’ve designed which you can get individually or as a set.

I’ve used 4 ply cotton and a 1.25mm crochet hook but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.

• Small amounts of desired colours of cotton or wool, I used 4 ply crochet cotton. I used 2 colours, grey for smoke and train tracks and black for train coupling.

• Crochet hook, I used a 1.25mm hook.

• Scissors.

• Sewing needle and thread to stitch the train onto the article, I used my sewing machine to attach most of the pieces to the towel and handstitched the rest.

• A darning needle to weave in the ends.

• Your train and animal pieces.

• A towel or blanket to attach the train to.
