Vaporous like a cloud, “Smoke, the sweater” is worked top down, in round, seamlessly, with two strends of silk mohair held together.
The yoke is worked in Smock stitch, that creates a raised diamond pattern and can be enriched with beads for a touch of light and shine.

The Smoke stitch pattern is repeated every 5th row, from the 5th to the 50th row, increasing the number of stitches involved along the way.
Before the division of the stitches between sleeves and body, some short rows are worked to model the back taller than the front.
The body is worked in round in stockinette stitch with the smoke stitch pattern in the sides, between the front and the back panels.
The body is worked in round until it is divided in front and back, and each panel is worked flat, back and forth, to obtain the side slits. The back panel is worked a bit longer than the front one.
The pattern comes in 7 sizes:
Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3 XL, designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130cm.
