Designed for the Phat Fiber Sampler Box May 2016 Collaboration, theme “Campfire.” This hat is easy to knit. Start from the top with a short row round crown, pick up and knit diagonal mesh in the round for the sides and pick up, double your yarn and knit the brim with increases. Accented with I cord on crown edge, band and brim edge. The mesh sides and eyelets in the crown offer access to cool breezes. The brim is firm without the need for interfacing or plastic of any kind.

The beige model is knit from Caron One Pound in Taupe.

The orange model is knit from the yarn listed below, a lovely yarn from Kitty Mine Crafts.
