This pattern was originally published in French by the designer of Poupywio Créations. She graciously gave us permission to translate it and put it on Ravelry. Note that the blog is no longer available.

Since the yarn weight and needle size requirements were not very clear in the French pattern, we took the liberty of making a suggestion that we think is appropriate. Binty test knitted the pattern using the suggested yarn and needle size and she did a fantastic job.

The French pattern contained very little explanations on how to put the Smurf together. By looking at the picture though, it is easy to figure it out.
