The Smutty Professor Cardi is a V-neck grandpa-style cardigan that features a simple ribbed pattern on the body and sleeves. Named for the ladies who love reading smutty books, this pattern is perfect for showcasing your favorite fancy buttons! The Smutty Professor Cardi is knit up in North Bay Fiber’s Heritage DK yarn, an American yarn available in a variety of gorgeous mill-dyed shades.
The Smutty Professor Cardi is knit in pieces and seamed. The Fronts and Back are worked flat, and include a few short rows. The Front also features V-neckline shaping. The Fronts and Back are seamed at the shoulders and sides to create armholes. Sleeves are picked up and worked outward from the body in the round. Stitches are picked up along the fronts and back neckline and ribbing is worked along with buttonholes. An I-cord bind off is worked on the front band to create a more structured edge.
