Snail!
Using only single crochet stitches and any worsted weight yarn in two contrasting colors (I like Wool of the Andes yarns from WeCrochet or Knit Picks), these whimsical snails are quick and fun to make.
Note: They do require some fiddly sewing to attach everything together. If they are not for children, you can use a stone in the shell to ensure they stand up on their own.
Materials used:
- Worsted weight yarn – 50 grams/110 yards (darker color for the shell)
- Worsted weight yarn – 50 grams/110 yards (lighter/contrasting color for the body and eyes)
- White crochet thread (size 3)
- Black crochet thread (size 3)
- Hook: 3.5 mm (for body)
- Hook: 1.75 mm (for eyes)
- Yarn needle
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
- Fiberfill stuffing
