Snake Lovey | Basil
The Basil Lovey Pattern is a beginner-friendly filet crochet design, featuring a slithering snake motif in a baby lovey size. Due to the small size, the Basil Lovey is perfect as a security blanket for little ones. Clear, easy-to-follow instructions makes this project work up super fast and is great for both new and experienced crocheters. Basil is the perfect design for reptile lovers or even those looking for a distinctive gift to represent a particular wizard house or pop-culture icon ;)

Yarn :: Approx. 5.6 oz or 521 yds of fine weight #2 (sport) wool blend yarn used. WeCrochet Heatherly Sport in Agave is pictured.
Hook Size :: US G/4.0mm
Finished Size :: Approx. finished measurements: 22 x 22 inches
Language/Terminology :: This pattern is only available in English and is written in US crochet terminology.
Stitches Used :: sl st (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), dc (double crochet), BL (back loop)
Pattern Construction ::
A chart is not available or included with the purchase or download. Instead, every OBH pattern includes a unique, OBH developed, numerical counting sequence, which reads just like you are counting stitches on a chart pattern. This shortcut makes working this pattern up a breeze, as all of the tedious work has been done for you, by me! Pattern is also written with row by row instructions and includes several important photo instructions. Project is worked from the bottom up. Instructions on how to increase the size of the blanket to your liking are included.
You are free to use a different fiber content, yarn weight, and/or hook size for your project! Just note that the amount of yarn needed and overall size of your project will change. There are multiple yarn estimate calculators available online to help assist in how much yarn your new project size may require.
