Snake Pose Infinity Scarf
Welcome to Stacey Namaste Designs. This infinity scarf is part of my Knitting for Healing series. Trauma can be defined as “Anything that overwhelms our capacity to cope and leaves us feeling hopeless and helpless,” ~Seane Corn, Yogi and Author. This series was inspired in order to provide choice and control for the maker in size, color scheme, design, and patterning. I hope you have fun, and every time you sit to knit this pattern, you can create a new design of your choosing.
This infinity scarf is designed to provide the maker agency, choice, and variation - you can use any yarn, any size, any color scheme. You can determine the length and repetitions of each of the two patterns. This scarf measured 60 inches long (each section is 15 inches long, alternating between the two patterns) before stitching together to make the infinity scarf shape, and it can be worn singly or doubled. You could knit each section for half the length of the scarf for a different look.
The photographed sample is knit in Carnival by Hobbii (worsted), color New Orleans (04). This yarn is 100% acrylic. 100 g, 262 yds. per skein. I used 1.25 skeins for this project, and I used US size 6 needles. The clear and gradual color shift is integrated into your project with the strong colors changing automatically, so you’ll get nice stripes without having to join loads of ends. The yarn is soft and wearable without being itchy.
