I have used DK Cotton to make this shirt, specifically Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK

The pattern uses written descriptions, crochet diagrams, and illustrations to help you create the squares. Knowledge of crochet diagrams would be helpful, but not essential.

Crochet squares are approximately 11cm x 11cm (4 ½” x 4 1/2”). There is a lot of stretch in the finished item, so the sizing is only approximate.
