This is a snake I designed as a Slytherin square for a Harry Potter themed afghan. THIS IS NOT ENDORSED BY J.K. ROWLING nor is it an official Harry Potter pattern. I am simply a Harry Potter fan creating a blanket for personal use.

Two skeins of worsted weight yarn in two different colors required for double-sided knitting (I prefer Joann’s Big Twist Premium).

I created this for double-sided knitting with all stitches worked in stockinette/reverse stockinette but it does work well single-stranded using purl stitches on the snake and border. If single stranded, it will affect size. This square is 14 x 12 unblocked, 14 x 14 blocked in double-sided knitting. If single strand knitting, it works up to approx 8 x 8.
