Snakes and Ladders Cowl Scarf
This is a pattern to crochet your own snakes and ladders infinity scarf which also, when doubled, can be worn as a cowl.
The reason it is called snakes and ladders will become obvious when making the scarf!
The pattern uses UK terminology throughout. It is 10 pages long, in full colour including a 27 photo tutorial walking you through step by step.
Beginners with a little experience of basic stitches should be able to use this pattern. If you can chain and do double, treble, half treble and slip stitches, you should have no problem.
The finished size of the infinity scarf is approximately 46 inches by 5 inches wide (116 cm x 12.5cm) but the size is easily adjusted to be longer or shorter and the pattern explains how to do this.
You will need two colours of any chunky weight yarn. For the blue version in the photographs, I used one 100g ball of each Stylecraft Mosaic and one 100g ball of DY Choice Chunky with Wool but Stylecraft Special Chunky also works well. If you check your gauge, you can substitute any chunky yarn you like.
In the United States, I understand chunky yarn is categorised as bulky. In Australia it is called 12-ply.
