Snefnug Mittens
Snefnug is the Danish word for snowflake, which served as the inspiration for this pattern. The mittens are knit cuff-up, setting aside stitches for the thumb which is picked up after the rest of the mitten has been knit.
The pattern features all-over stranded colorwork using two colors of yarn.
Skill level Intermediate. Prior experience with stranded colorwork recommended.
Materials 100g light fingering yarn (sample shown in Holst Supersoft in colors Mariner (MC) and Opal (CC), 50g each).
Needles 2.0mm-3.0 mm, whichever gets you gauge.
Gauge
This pattern only has one chart. Instead of adding or removing stitches, I ask you to change your gauge in order to change the size of the finished mitten. I have included information about how within the pattern.
The sample mittens were knit with a gauge of 38 sts x 36 rows on a 2.5 mm needle, however your gauge is most likely different from mine.
The pattern has been fully test knit.
Materialer 100g tyndt supersoft-lignende garn (vist i Holst Supersoft in farverne Mariner (BF) and Opal (MF), 50g af hver).
