Snelson Snuggle Blanket
The Snelson Snuggle Blanket was designed for the Cheshire Fibre Festival 2016 and is named after a village close to the venue.
It can be made to any size from a baby blanket at 65cm square to a large double bed size at 180cm square. It uses 5 colours of yarn. Yarn quantities are given for 4 different sizes - baby (1 ball each colour), lap (2 balls of each colour), single bed (3 balls of each colour) and double bed (5 balls of each colour).
The original sample used Malabar Aran which is a blend of lofty cotton and silk, giving it weight, softness and warmth, perfect to snuggle under. However this yarn is no longer ready available. A very good value alternative is Stylecraft Special Aran which comes in a wider range of colours. The pattern has been adapted for this yarn
The pattern is written in English crochet terms only and is charted.
