“If you have a choice between being right and being kind, choose kind.” –Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

These socks were inspired by the “There’s Room For Everyone” movement which I heard about from The Girls in the Yarn Café Podcast. As a teacher of students with Special Needs in a local urban school district, I am proud to stand with these ladies to promote the message to Choose Kind. The socks feature the words “Choose Kind” across the front, and color work hearts across the back of each foot as well as a contrasting heel and toe.

This pattern includes instructions to knit these socks in my Snip Snap style(one connected tube that gets cut apart and includes directions for afterthought heel and toe) as well as the colorwork charts needed to knit a vanilla pair from the toe up or the cuff down. The socks can be knit two at a time if desired using both charts.

For the first 48 hours of publication, $4 from each pattern sale will go to support Anti-Bullying programs at my school. Following the first 48 hours, $3 from each sale will continue to be donated to my school as well as others in the district for social-emotional curriculum to support all students to develop the skills they need to be kind to one another and to resolve problems peacefully. Thank you for your support!
