It’s a snail that’s also a kitten—it’s a snitten!

This cute little pet bug mashup is a quick intermediate knit that incorporates wrap & turn short rows to bend the body up and to help curl the shell around. After knitting the two pieces, you’ll stitch the shell into a spiral and attach the body to it with mattress stitch. The ears are made by picking up the stitches.

Designed to be knitted in fingering-weight yarn, you can scale it up easily with thicker yarn and bigger needles.

A great project for yarn scraps, particularly hand-dyed yarn!
