pattern overview

the pattern starts with i-cord. you will then establish brioche knitting while working increases until you reach the desired width. after working straight a ways, you’ll decrease back down and finish the whole thing off with a second i-cord.

yarn & needles

you can use any aran weight wool yarn for this pattern. i used “mini sport” from anny blatt, which is listed as bulky, but to my hand feels much more like aran. more importantly, make sure you hit gauge and end up with a fabric that feels nice and snuggly, and squishy — the way brioche should be.

recommended needle size & type:
US 7, 4.5 mm
please use double pointed needles or circular needles !!
