Yes you can crochet cables too! And it is much easier than you think. For this bag I used an open cable pattern to make it light and classic at the same time.
The bag is made in round from the bottom and up.
The pattern has full written instructions (US terms) and a chart for the cable pattern.

Yarn: 5 skeins Krea deluxe organic cotton, color 08, 165 m/50 g
Recommended hook: 3 mm
Finished measurements: Approximately 35 cm wide and 32 cm tall.
