Snorlax Drawstring Bag
Hello there! Welcome to the world of FUNCTIONAL AMIGURIMI DESIGNS! My name is GRAFFICDESIGNS! People call me the POKEMON CROCHETER! I hear you want to capture a wild SNORLAX! Well, I should be able to help!
You will need:
• H size Hook (5.0mm) and C size hook (2.75mm) for cording and charm
• Worsted Weight yarn in blue/green, off-white (tannish), white, red, black and brown. Very minimal yardage here, scrap yarn works wonders!
• Tapestry needle for minimal embroidery and weaving in ends
• Needle and thread to attach designs and appendages
• Stuffing; this can be poly-fill or scrap yarns.
• Optional: button to help close the bag (needs to have a large hole for the cord to go through)
Hints/tips:
• This pattern is more of a slightly rough pattern—some of the round ends don’t even out exactly and that’s fine. Life shouldn’t be taken too seriously, so why should crochet?
• The main part of this design is the body—which is bag shaped—and the other parts and designs are sewn onto the bag. If you’re not comfortable with sewing, check out http://cyberseams.com/article/105045/basics/how_to_sew_by... I mainly use the whip stitch around my items, trying to match the sewing thread as closely as I can to the item I’m attaching to the main body. You can always go in with a colored sharpie on white thread if you’re not into buying multiple colors.
• The face will be made through embroidery, check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-qLGEXUSQA for embroidery tips/tricks
