In the frigid cold of January, I became quite obsessed with these mittens. As temperatures dropped, and the snow piled up around the house, I pulled out tubs of scrap yarn and started knitting. Sitting by the fireplace, I knit mitten after mitten, happily mixing up colors, trying different sizes, and adding lining to make my mittens extra cozy.

The Snow Blossom mittens are the creative project that seemed to blossom naturally with the new year. Quiet and calming, this was just the project I needed to keep my hands busy and warm. Now, I’m excited to share this mitten pattern with you! I hope you enjoy these mittens as much as I do.

The Snow Blossom mittens are knit seamlessly in the round using stranded colorwork. They are worked from the bottom up and feature a fun and unusual thumb gusset. This pattern includes a detailed schematic, video tutorials, an easy-to memorize colorwork motif, and optional instructions for adding lining to your mittens. These mittens are great for stash-busting, and perfect for gift knitting.

NOTE: Colorwork charts do not include written instructions.
