Snow Blossom Socks is my very first knitting pattern. I designed this sock pattern to capture the transition of winter to spring. I was watching the snow outside my window one day when this pattern came to me.

This sock pattern is a cuff-down pattern displays lace/eyelets in the shape of six-petal flowers on the front panel. The back of the leg features ribbing that gives a comfortable wear! I used reinforced heel flap in my pattern, but feel free to substitute it with whichever heel you like!

There is only one size for this sock and it fits UK4-5. The socks can be made bigger or smaller by adjusting the needle size.

I used Gregoria Fibers Cashmere Sock (colourway 122 in the pictures), which I’ve been hoarding for a long time, looking for the right design. I’ve finally decided to use it for this pattern as it reminds me of cherry blossoms in the snow. I would recommend using any fingering weight sock yarn (with nylon or silk in them) to get a sturdy sock that wears a long time. One skein of 400m will be more than enough for a pair of these, and maybe one more pair with a shorter cuff.

It is a very simple and intuitive pattern, perfect if you’re looking for a meditative knitting project. This pattern is charted and parts have written instructions, but I promise it is really easy! I hope you’ll love knitting these socks as much as I do! :)
