About Pattern

I wished to knit a kind of classic cable sweater with dLana 100% Lana Merina autóctona, one of my favorite yarn, which is made from local organic wool in Spain. I love airy, soft and rustic texture of this yarn, and also the wonderful feeling to knit with.

This yarn—250 m per 100 g— is much lighter than regular worsted weight yarn—200 m per 100g. It has the perfect lightness and texture for cable knitting. My sample sweater weighs just 285 g in total. If you know about normal weight of this kind of sweater, you can imagine how light it is!

Snow crocus is a small crocus, which grows wild on the mountains in Greece, at the time of melting snow. I wrote this pattern in February at the blooming time of this flower.

The pattern is worked seamlessly from the top down.

700(730, 750, 800)(820, 870, 950, 1020)(1130, 1220, 1310, 1410) meters of worsted weight wool yarn.

Needles

2 main circular needles and 1 smaller circular needle. 6 mm / US 10 / JP 13 as main needle, 5 mm / US 8 /JP 10 as smaller needle for neck, hem and cuff. Adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge.

Gauge

15 sts x 23 rows = 10 cm /4”, with main needle in stockinette stitch after wet blocking.

Notions

17 stitch markers (15 for cables, 2 for EOR), tapestry needle.

パターンについて

2019年の春にスペインで出会った、とても素敵な糸。綿菓子のように、ふわっと空気を含んで、とても軽い、dLanaさんの素朴なメリノウールの糸で、もりもりのケーブル模様のセーターを編んでみようと思いました。 出来上がったセーターは、なんと285g！アランセーターを編んだことのある方なら、300g以下のセーターがどれ程軽いか想像していただけるかと思います。

Snow Crocus は、春の始めの、雪が溶ける時期に、ギリシャの山の上に咲く、小さな野生のクロッカスです。 クロッカスの蕾が膨らむ季節に書いたパターンなので、名前を頂戴しました。

パターンは上から下に向かって、シームレスで編んでいきます。袖や着丈は、途中で試着しながら、お好みの長さに調節して下さい。楽しんで編んでいただけると嬉しいです。

12種類のサイズの模様や引き返し編みを文章パターンにしたため、とても長いパターンになりました。タブレットやPCで見ていただくのを前提に、パターンの中に他のページに移動するためのリンクを入れました。印刷して使われる場合は各章の該当サイズのページを確認してからプリントして下さい。第３章、第７章は、印刷用に「別ファイル」を用意しましたので、そちらをダウンロードして下さい。

dLana の100% Lana Merina autóctona (100% メリノウール, 125m/50g)を6 (6, 6, 7) (7, 7, 8, 9)(10, 10, 11, 12) 玉, サンプルは Gris Claro (ライトグレー)を使用. (糸量は少し多めに見積もっていますが, 糸の性質上, 1玉の長さが異なるため, 必要な玉数が増える場合もあります)

もしくは 700(730, 750, 800)(820, 870, 950, 1020)(1130, 1220, 1310, 1410) m の並太(= worsted weight)のウールの糸.

針

メインの輪針を2つ, ゴム編み用の細い針を1つ. 6mm/US10/日本規格13号をメインの針に, 5mm/US8/日本規格10号を細い針として使用. ゲージに合わせて針のサイズを調整して下さい. 袖はマジックループを使って編みます. もしくは輪針と同じ太さの4本棒針を用意して下さい.

15目23段 = 10cm 太い方のメインの針 （メリヤス編みを水通ししてブロッキング）
