This hat is worked from the bottom up and good for beginners to color work. There are no long floats and only two color worked in each round.

We used Malabrigo Rios because it’s soft and machine washable, but any worsted weight yarn will work.

The hat takes a little over half a skein for the background color, a half a skein for the contrast color and just a little bit of red (or second contrast color).

Sizing
Finished measurement is ~22” around.

Yarn
Malabrigo Rios or any worsted weight yarn that will knit at 5.5 sts. to 1”

Gauge
5.5 sts. to 1 inch in Color work

Needles
16” Circular - Size 3 and 4
Double Pointed - Size 4
