Snow for Lorelai
Everything’s magical when it snows… One of the best things about cold weather is the chance to bundle up in some lovely, hand-knit goodness. Inspired by Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, the vivacious mother and more down-to-earth daughter at the heart of the long-running show “Gilmore Girls”, this set is overloaded with options.
The Boot Cuffs/Leg Warmers come in two weights--bulky (“RORY”) and double-bulky (“LORELAI”)--and are written formulaically to be made in any size. There is a bonus “half-width” chart included, in case you only want to have one cable (better for wee legs).
The bulky-weight Mittens can be made closed or fingerless in two lengths, and range in sizes to suit hands from very small (approximately 5.5” around, so the average 3- or 4-year-old) up to ladies’ large (about 8.5”).
The best part? You can have an entire set done in one or two weekends! Perfect for gifting--even if it’s to yourself! :-)
