This simple knit pattern features alpaca yarn, known to be warmer, lighter, and softer than sheep’s wool, held double with a fingering weight yarn of your choice. It is cast on using a provisional cast on and then knit in a tube until you reach the end, at which time the ends are grafted together to turn the piece into a double wrapped infinity cowl.

Although the sizing and numbers given in the pattern are for an adult or older child, the length and width can easily be adjusted to make it smaller or larger to fit the needs of the person wearing it.

The yarn requirements are
1 - 100 gram skein of fingering weight suri alpaca that is used throughout the pattern
1- 100 gram skein of a fingering weight yarn of choice for the main color
two - 50 gram skeins of alternating contrast colors.

These contrast colors can be simply two different colors as listed in the pattern, or they can also be scraps or mini skeins of the knitter’s choice. Each of the nine sections uses just 7 grams of a contrast color, making it a perfect option for scraps and 10 gram mini skeins.

This pattern can also be knit with two fingering weight yarns, neither of which are alpaca or fluffy, held together -- or a single strand of DK weight yarn to achieve the recommended gauge.
