Snowball Fight in a Bag
Ready for some serious fun this winter?
Stay warm and dry with the perfect entertainment for cooped up kids (and adults!) … have an indoor snowball fight!
Christmas doesn’t need to be about ‘bored’ games and eating naughty food when you can take this set with you where ever you go. Get the party started and get some great exercise too!
Pattern is available in a choice of US or UK terminology and includes how to make the snowballs AND the perfect sized bag to keep them in too.
The snowballs are lovely and soft so even the little family members can play without getting hurt. You might want to move any breakables first though!
The bag also makes an ideal reusable eco-friendly gift bag.
The patterns are classed as Intermediate level due to the range of stitches used throughout both patterns. But an advanced beginner with experience of common stitches and working in the round shouldn’t have difficulty. The bag includes a round of cute Bobble stitches made in the same yarn as the snowballs for a sweet matching touch. How to do the bobble stitch is included in the pattern.
You will need:
1 x 100g ball James C Brett Flutterby Chunky in White for snowballs
265-350 yards Cotton Aran or worsted weight for the bag
Size H (5mm) Crochet Hook
Toy Stuffing
Blunt tapestry needle
Stitch marker/scrap of yarn
Scissors
You can substitute any aran weight yarn for the bag, however your measurements may vary slightly from those stated in the pattern if you use acrylic yarn. Your tension may also affect this. It shouldn’t matter though.
For best results for the snowballs use the suggested (or similar) yarn.
