The Snowberry Shawl is a versatile shoulder accessory suitable for any occasion. It is knitted flat from the top down using a basic stockinette stitch and a variation of the popular feather and fan stitch pattern. The shawl is knitted to sit comfortably on the wearer’s shoulders using strategically placed sets of increases. The front closure is knitted in two pieces from the picked up stitches along the short sides of the shawl.

For the sheer look, the two different yarn weights, lace and fingering, were used and alternated every two rows. The colour contrast between the two yarns can be subtle or dramatic, depending on your preference.

The pattern instructions are fully written. The instructions for the shawl‘s body are both written and charted. The rows in the written instructions correspond to the rows in the CHART for easy reference. The instructions for the knit-on front closure pieces are written only.
