Chevron stitches are great fun to knit. Snowdon can easily be enlarged to make a cosy throw by adding extra repeats of the pattern to the length and width, or you can choose a finer, ‘baby’ yarn and make a smaller version.

Size: 80cm/31.5in square

Yarn:
Misti Alpaca Best of Nature Chunky:
100% baby alpaca, 100g = 98m/109yd
Colour A: 3 skeins – BN03 Basil
Colour B: 2 skeins – BN05 Lilac
Colour C: 1 skein – BN01 Blue corn

Needles: 6mm/US 10, 100cm/40in circular needle

Gauge: 10cm/4in = 14 sts x 20 rows in chevron stitch, after blocking

Be aware that chevron stitch grows in length and shrinks in width dramatically after it is blocked; what starts out looking like a short, wide blanket grow sto the right proportions after wet blocking.
