Snowdrops
Snowdrops is a delicate lace knitting pattern that mimics the pretty lacy Snowdrop flowers that herald the beginning of spring. This is the first in a series of three spring flower patterns. The remaining two patterns - Primrose and Crocus will be available in April and May of 2022. If you purchase Snowdrop you will receive preferential discount for the other two patterns when they are released.
If you love a pretty lacy sock but don’t want to spend a lot of time knitting them, then Snowdrops is your pattern. The lace is only across the top of the sock and is easily memorisable. With the darling picot edge, short row heel, and no-graft toe this is a go to sock again and again.
You will need approx 233m (355yds) of sock yarn to make 1 pair of women’s US8, UK6, Eur38 socks. The recommended yarn is 1 skein of Ravenswood Fibre Co. 85% merino, 15% nylon fingering weight yarn in Sea Glass.
Snowdrops was designed as a top down sock and for dpns but can be made with addi sock wonder or crasy trio needles or using the magic loop method. You will need US1.5 (2.50mm) needles for the main body and either US0 (2.00mm) or US1 (2.25mm) needles for the picot edge. You will also need a tapestry/darning needle and optional stitch markers.
Snowdrops is perfect for an interested beginner to intermediate knitter and is a great easy project for an experienced knitter.
