Knit with 2 colors, these stranded-knitting mittens feature a snowdrop motif on the back of the hands, interspersed with a small snowflake motif, which also decorates the palms. They are knit with a gusset thumb and twisted stitch ribbing.

There are 2 sizes available in the pattern - a women’s medium and a women’s large. If you wish to go up or down sizes smaller or larger than are indicated in the pattern, try working with smaller or larger needles to alter the size to fit beyond the 2 hand circumferences/lengths given.

Choose 2 fingering-weight yarns with a good color contrast to help the motifs stand out. Note that the patterning on the hands is presented in chart format ONLY.

These mittens are the first in a 6-part pattern series featuring colorwork and textured patterns for the Wooly Wonka Fibers Herbarium Club 2017. An ebook collection of all the patterns (with patterns released every 2 months during the course of 2017) is also available.
