The Snowfall Hat and Cowl is knit in the round and has some simple fair isle colorwork. For me, when there is even basic colorwork it helps the project zip through faster, as it makes for knitting to be a little more interesting.

One skein of each color is enough to make both the hat and the cowl, and there will even be some left over.
