For me, one of the joys of winter is watching snow fall against the many colours of the sky. The design of this toque is inspired from this joy.

Materials
• Approx. 120m (130 yards) of multi-coloured (contrast) DK- weight yarn. I chose to use Striped Wonder Wool and used about half of the ball.
• Approx. 120m (130 yards) of plain-coloured DK-weight yarn. I chose to use some local wool from my stash in this sample here.
• Faux fur pom-pom, or pom-pom of choice
• 3.5mm (US4) and 4mm (US 6) dpn needles or 40cm (16 inch) circular needles (or needles that will match your personal tension and yarn choice)
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers

Pattern Notes
This toque has a 16-stitch repeat. To change the size of the toque, adjust the number of cast-on stitches by multiples of 16 stitches. The height of the toque can be adjusted by working fewer or more rows after the colourwork chart, but before the top decreases.

Colourwork is charted only.

Sizing
The hat measures 48 cm (19 inches) around. One size fits most.
The size can be adjusted by working more or less repeats of the colourwork pattern.

Tension
22 sts and 30 rows = 10cm/4in over stockinette with 4mm (US 6) needles
