Crocheting beautiful ornaments for your Christmas tree is a great way to spend time during the holiday season. Snowflake ornaments are great for decorating a tree or making garlands, but they also make cute little gifts for friends and family. I used cotton thread size 10 and a 2 mm crochet hook for this snowflake motif. Its size is 10 cm (about 4 inches) in diameter. You can change the look and size of your snowflake by using a different yarn weight. Besides the thread and hook, you will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.
If you want to block your snowflakes you will need white school glue, stainless steel pins, plastic wrap and some kind of blocking board.
