Years ago one of my first published patterns was The Snowflake Headband. I’ve since created coordinating hats and cowls in both bulky and super bulky weights.

This classic “Nordic Star” pattern, or snowflake motif, isn’t original - it’s been around longer than me - but I’ve loved the challenge of putting it into these knitting patterns.

This pattern is written for one size. The chart is quite wide, and
this prohibits me from making a more diverse size
selection with this particular cowl and weight of yarn.

This cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up using
circular needles. The pattern calls for 2 contrasting colors.
