Snowflake Hat
In need of a new winter hat, I set out to make one that wouldn’t flatten or mess up my hair, would cover my ears and look great. Inspired by Fair Isle knitting, I designed the Snowflake Hat to compliment the Snowflake Mittens I had created earlier.
While this pattern looks knitted, it is actually crocheted!
The tight weave of the waistcoat stitch provides the knitted look as well as extra warmth on a cold winter day.
This five page detailed pattern includes a list of materials needed and the stitches used with a brief description of how to preform the waistcoat stitch. A chart of the hat design is included along with written instructions.
I hope you enjoy crocheting these mittens as much as I did creating it!
