Snowflake Medallion Ornaments
This pattern is part of my series of patterns that use my Breakaway Crochet Method.
It uses a BRAND NEW technique for working continuous motifs.
Before attempting this project, please have a look at how to do some of the basic techniques by:
Reading the Training Wheels eBook
OR
watching the videos in this YouTube playlist.
DESCRIPTION
These snowflake medallion ornaments are great for last minute Christmas decorating. Each one uses a small amount of yarn, they do not require any stiffening, and because an overlay technique is used, there is no sewing.
They are very quick to make, so if you’re stuck for Christmas market stall ideas then these will have your inventory topped up in no time.
And from just one pattern there are many ways to present each ornament. For example, you can change the size of the ornaments by varying the weight of the yarn.
You can also embellish the basic ornament with a tassel, or you can thread bamboo skewers through the points to make a star-shaped frame.
These ornaments can be hung on a tree, or smaller ones can be used to embellish gifts. Many other ideas too!
