Snowflake Midwife Blanket
The Call The Midwife Blanket is a very popular pattern. It is so loved because it is easy to do and pleasing to the eye. I have only seen a few other variations of this blanket. I thought it would be cute to have a snowflake version for Winter.
These squares are a little bigger than the typical midwife blanket. I used a medium weight #4 yarn, but you can easily use another size yarn and corresponding hook. We will be making a built-in border for this blanket. You are welcome to add an additional border around the outside if you want to, but I think a built-in border helps make this pattern more beginner friendly.
My finished blanket is 40” long and 37” wide. If you want to make a different width, the multiple is 20 + 9 chains or 20 + 7 foundation dc.
