While these mittens look knitted, the Snowflake Mitten is crocheted!

I worked hard to create the knitted look in crochet where the pattern wouldn’t slant like it does in Tunisian or tapestry crochet.

This pattern gives detailed instructions on how to crochet these Fair Isle type mittens. Included are a list of materials needed: for example a G hook and #4 weighted yarn in two colors; stitch abbreviations used with brief descriptions: waistcoat stitch; and the pattern: both a chart of the body and of the thumb, and detailed written instructions of each row for both the left and right hand plus thumb.
