Welcome to my Snowflake Surprise Gnome Advent Calendar Pattern.
Gnomes are super cute with loads of character and now you can fill this gnomes pockets with treats to countdown to Christmas every December for Christmas.
With 24 pockets situated around the gnome you can pop little gifts in for years to come and surprise the kids or family members in the 24 days leading up to Christmas.
And I think we all agree, handmade advent calendars make the best gifts that keep giving every year and become treasured family heirlooms. Who are you making your Snowflake Surprise Gnome for? I made one for myself and filled it with crochet trinkets and the occasional chocolate.
The fun may be in the making but wait until you start looking for cute surprises to fill it with. Bring on December I say.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Finished Size: Approximately 40cm high x 35cm wide (including arms)
Tools Required:
3mm Crochet Hook (same size is used for all pieces), Scissors, Pins and Yarn Needle, ST Markers.
Plastic or Cardboard base approximately 20cm in diameter and wadding for stuffing.

Yarn Requirements: 100% cotton. Any 6 to 8 ply will work. I used Scheepjes Catona 100% Mercerised Cotton.
Base colour— C1 - 100gms / 250m
Body Colour—C2 - 200gms / 500m
Hat colour– C3 - 150gms / 375m
White—150gms / 250m

Skill Level - Beginner (You need to have a knowledge of basic crochet stitches and be a able to read a pattern.)
