These are basic instructions for a hexagon motif to use specifically for a temperature blanket although it could be used for a normal blanket as well.
I have used two colour pallets for this blanket.
Low to high = 14 colours ranging from -1 to 40+ deg C
Rainfall = White, 3 shades of grey and black
(no rain, 1-7mm, 8-14mm, 15-21mm, 22+)
I used 8 ply wool plus 5ply cotton for the overlay (rainfall) and a 4mm hook. Each motif measures approximately 5” (13cm).
Amount of yarn required will vary for different regions. You will need more for middle of the range temperatures and less for extreme temperatures.
Instructions for borders or fillers are not included.
