Snowman Coaster
This is a crochet pattern for Snowman Coasters in PDF format. Written in US terminology.
The finished coasters measure 3 inches approx in diameter and about 4 inches long including the scarf. They work up very quickly and would make a great addition to festivities leading up to the big day, as part of your Christmas table or as a Christmas decoration in the lounge. You can easily customise your own snowmen by changing the colours of the scarves.
For this pattern, you will need DK weight cotton in white (you can use other yarns, but cotton withstands heat from mugs better and is a bit more sturdy), scraps of green, red, black and orange for the details and embellishments, a 4.5mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, stitch marker and scissors. You will need to be familiar with US terminology used including: Chain, Double Crochet, Slip Stitch, working in rounds, Single Crochet. The eyes, nose and mouth are embroidered rather than crocheted, but it isn’t too tricky- I personally hate sewing and it didn’t take me too much time or effort!
This pattern is suitable for a beginner crocheter. The download is just over 2 pages long and includes a colour photo of the finished item.
This is my own design (Isobel Marks at Ok Then What’s Next). Please do not redistribute, copy or duplicate all or part of this pattern as your own- give credit where necessary.
Merry Christmas!
