Snowman Coaster
Have you ever wondered how to knit a seamless flat circle? This coaster pattern will show you!
Building snowmen is one of my favorite parts of winter. This pattern allows you to take part in that tradition in your warm, cozy knitting corner. Transform these coasters into ornaments by inserting an ornament hook through the knit fabric.
The snowman’s hat is knit flat first, and is knitted directly onto the coaster. No seams, and no picking up stitches. This Snowman Coaster is worked seamlessly in the round from the outer cast on edge, decreasing to the center.
I have found working from the outside in helps me to finish projects faster. This way you tackle the largest rounds at the beginning when you are most excited about the project. You build momentum as every round gets smaller and quicker. After the coaster is finished the button eyes are attached, and the smile is embroidered on. A set of these can be worked up very quickly, and would make a great hostess gift for holiday parties.
