Snowman «Gentleman»
★ SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE+
★ MATERIALS AND TOOLS :
- Yarn:
I used: Yarnart Violet (cotton, 50g ~ 282m, 42-45sts in 4 inches), white color.
You can use any yarn that is comfortable and/or suitable for you (I advise you to take cotton or smooth acrylic yarn).
Hook №1 (1mm) – we need a tight crochet, so we take a thinner hook than the manufacturer recommends!
Everything else is crocheted from floss.
Orange floss (in 2 threads) to crochet a carrot nose, hook №0.65 (0.65mm).
Black and 2 shades of emerald green floss (take threads similar in numbers, for example I used Gamma floss №3142 and №3143), in 3 threads, to crochet a sweater and a hat. Hook №0.9 (0.9mm). Also black floss we will use for the arms, mouth, eyebrows.
- Head joint: cotter pin 1х1.6mm – 1pc, disks (8mm 1pc paste into body side, 10mm 1pc paste into head side); on such a small size you can do joint without washers.
- Arms: wire 0.5mm thick, 4pcs, 2pcs each 14cm long and 2pcs each 14.5cm long
- Fiberfill (to stuff)
- A piece of plastic or cardboard. Take, if possible, light-colored plastic so that it does not shine through white yarn. We need one circle Ø1.5 cm for the hat, and Ø2.5cm for the bottom of the snowman
- 4 heavy beads or pebbles to weigh down the bottom of the snowman
- Glue eyes (3mm)
- Small metal buttons Ø3-4mm, 3pcs
- Decoration on the hat: 3 small red pearl balls (or beads) Ø4mm, 2 small artificial leaves (you can cut them from large leaves)
- Silver lurex for embroidery
- Needle, transparent monofilament (thin fishing line, for sewing on buttons), safety pins, scissors, adhesive tape, hot glue, glue (Moment Crystal), PVA glue, thin stick (for the convenience of stuffing small parts).
