Materials
All weights are approximate and will vary depending on the brand of yarn you choose and how tightly you crochet.
For this wreath I used Stylecraft Special Aran but any Aran will work for this pattern.

White (wreath cover and beard) 150g
Black ( hat) 70g
Orange (nose) 20g
Red (hat stripe and berries) 30g
Green (holly) 5g
Small amount of toy stuffing for your gnome nose.
20cm polystyrene wreath.

Finished size
Height 40cm/16 inches from the tip of the hat to the bottom of the beard
Width 24cm/9inches
This will of course vary with weights of yarn and hook/tension.

This pattern uses US terms and is worked in a spiral so using stitch markers is highly recommended 
Ch = chain stitch
Sc = single crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
Dc = double crochet
Tr = treble crochet
Sc2tog = single crochet decrease
FLO = Front loop only
BLO = Back loop only

I used a 20cm/8 inch wreath ring but you could use a different sizes you may just need to make the wreath cover bigger and make a few more leaves.

This pattern is easy to follow but requires basic crochet knowledge.
