Snowman on a Roll
This snowman is on a roll! Commemorate a crappy year with a toilet paper version, or roll up a standard snowman just like the real thing. This pattern includes instructions for both! Measurements are given for both DK and worsted weight yarn, but you can make adjustments based on your own yarn. Three squishy strips are double-knit and then rolled into snowballs. Assembly is a breeze--simply stack the two-ply mega rolls and make a few stitches to hold them all together. Hang him from a Christmas tree branch and then move him to a doorknob or mantel to bring cheer all winter long.
Snowmen come in all shapes and sizes. When you build a real snowman, you’re lucky if he turns out like the archetype. If you’re anything like me, you run out of snow, daylight, tolerance for cold, and/or enthusiasm, leaving him more than a little wonky. The same is true for a fiber snowman. If you’re short on time, yarn, or mojo, feel free to make only two snowballs. What feels like a shortage of something in the moment only adds whimsy to your little fella. I made mine a bit more conceptual because I wanted this to feel like a doable project; feel free to add a face and other features if you wish.
