Christmas knits don’t get more special than this one – all cute and cuddly, this wrapped-up snowman is ready for happy hugs.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this pattern is knitted on single pointed needles (not in the round). The snowman is knitted in a polyester boucle fleecy yarn to make it extra snuggly, and the hat, scarf and carrot nose are knitted in acrylic DK yarns. The hat and scarf incorporate a 2 colour slip stitch pattern.

NEEDLES
A pair each of 3.5mm, 4mm and 5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4, 6 & 8)

RECOMMENDED YARN

• Snowman - Sirdar, Snuggly Snowflake Chunky; 100% polyester chunky weight yarn; 75g in white
• Hat, Scarf and Carrot Nose- Deramores Studio DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 50g each in orange, white and green

NOTIONS
Toy filling, domed buttons for eyes and a tapestry needle

One size only - 33cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
