Snowmelt cardigan
This crochet cardigan was designed inspired by Iceland, the asymmetry resembles the Icelandic rocky formations, and the see-through texture and hanging ribbons re-calls ‘snow patches’ because of the melting glaciers in the country due to overheating.
Since weather nowadays is so fast changeable, this garment is created to be an easy piece to make and wear, to be layered in colder months, or to wear on warmer days with a top underneath. This garment is meant to be simple and versatile, not only aesthetically, but also in the making, since the entire piece is crocheted in one go, without needing to attach pattern pieces separately.

Materials:
-Yarn: Fine weight 2 yarn, sport type. -Secondary yarn: Superfine weight 1 yarn, fingering type yarn for details and side seams.
-Yarn material: This project utilizes a sport weight 2 yarn, but crocheting with a big hook (9mm), which gives room for experimentation regarding your yarn choice, since there will be a lot of space between each stitch.
It is an opportunity to try out a fancy yarn such as slub yarn, knob yarn, or an effect yarn (sequined yarn). As long as the core thread is in sport weight, or as long as your gauge works. A light DK yarn will also work, but in such case, since your yarn will be thicker you can also change hook size making sure you meet the gauge.
