Snowpack
Snowpack was named because its stitch pattern knits up looking dense, like a start of a mini glacier, or a snowpack. This is a quick and simple knit for all levels of experience.
Notes: This hat is worked from the bottom up, beginning with a long tail cast on. The body is worked in the round, beginning with an easy moss stitch brim, the continues in stockinette and finishes with simple decreases for the crown.
Size: To fit head circumference:
Child 17-19” (43-48 cm)
Adult S/M 19-21” (48-53 cm)
Adult M/L 22-24” (56-61 cm)
Yarn: Plucky Bulky 130yds (100% SW Merino)
Or 86 (104, 138) yards or 95 (114, 152) meters of Bulky weight yarn.
Needles: US 10 (6mm) and 10.5 (6.5mm) 16” circular needles and US 10.5 (6.5mm) DPNs or size to get gauge
Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rounds per 4 inches (unblocked) using larger needle in stockinette stitch.
