Snowshoe is a colorwork headband, inspired by the Alaskan boreal summers. The summer days are long, with an abundance of busy snowshoe hares and petite flowers taking advantage of the warmth and sunshine. The headband is knit first, and then felted down to size for extra warmth and perfect fit.

Sizing
I provide instructions for 2 sizes which create pre-felt circumferences of 20.5”/52cm (25.5”/65cm). I recommend knitting the smaller size if your head circumference is less than 23”/58.5cm; knit the larger size if your head circumference is equal to or greater than 23”/58.5cm.
Finished height of the headband is 3” (7.5 cm).

Yarn needs
Fingering-weight yarn wool; no synthetics, no superwash, needs to felt
