A Snowshoe Hare -
It has the name “snowshoe” because of the large size of its hind feet. The animal’s feet prevent it from sinking into the snow when it hops and walks.
And mine has those too….

Yarn-wise - I’ve knitted him in good, reputable, artisan
Angora Yarn together with Drops Kid-Silk to make him that little bit extra-special although I have also listed alternate yarn choices within the pattern.

My hare is knitted flat with two knitting needles, joining as you go and shaping with short rows and pick up stitches.

I’ve stuffed them not too firmly so they have a cuddle element and can be posed ever-so slightly as you can see from my pictures.

Eyes-wise - 18mm ones ‘cat’ ones which I love - although this is also your choice

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern is a total of 40 pages containing a full set of written instructions with photographic illustrations

ALSO, PLEASE NOTE: This pattern is similar to my ‘To the Moon and Back’ Big Hare but there are differences - this one is more hunched; have different ears; bigger feet (of course!!) and longer forelegs….
